1. Product Overview
AET-3047 is a passive front-panel transition breakout module developed by Motorola exclusively for the MVME2600/MVME2700 series PowerPC VME single board computers. It adopts a fully passive circuit design without any processing chips, only responsible for bridging the rear P2 VME bus signal pins of the main control board to standard external connectors on the front panel, realizing convenient on-site wiring without modifying the main SBC hardware.
The board integrates 3×RJ45 Ethernet ports, 1×DB25 multi-mode serial port, 1×DB36 Centronics parallel printer port and dedicated reserved signal terminals for peripheral expansion. All signal lines are equipped with independent ESD and surge suppression circuits to eliminate industrial ground loop interference and protect the host mainboard from external signal overvoltage damage.
As a pure signal routing transition board, it cannot independently execute control logic or data processing, and must be installed in the same VME chassis together with a compatible MVME PowerPC host board to work normally. It greatly simplifies the wiring layout of thermal power DCS, petrochemical distributed control and aerospace automatic test benches, and shortens equipment installation and maintenance time.
This product has been discontinued, and only refurbished and surplus spare parts are available for legacy industrial control system maintenance.
